My homie just bought a new SLIM Xbox 360?
He traded in his old 360 and I paid for the rest of his slim for his birthday. We go back to his place, play Gears of War 2 for I would say 5 hours, get on the next day, play for a few more hours. Then we leave for the movies with his cousins and come back to watch a movie and guess what! His Xbox doesnt work. We take it to Best Buy, and they tell us it got the red rings. We asked them we never saw the red rings on it at all and he explains that the new XBOX’S do not have the red LEDs lights in the circle of lights. So I was like thats stupid, how are you suppose to know if your shit is overheating if the warning light doesnt come on. Because his old Xbox got the red rings and we immediately shut it off, left it alone for the day and turned it back on and it worked fine ever since. Now we just wasted about 400 bucks, (because I bought him the throat mic for mw2 and he preordered Black Ops) on the this system and he now has to send it in to get a new one and he wont get it until next month. Does anyone else think this is sort of bullshit on Microsofts end.
Thats why my ass always preferred the PS3.
At the guy who just called me a fanboy.. hmmm would a fanboy buy his friend a fucking 360 NO! I am not a fanboy. Fanboys are the stupid douchbags who say stupid stuff like, “PS3 has better graphics,” or when a 360 gamer says “Your controller is so small.” Those are the fanboy rants. I’m just saying what the stupid geek squad guy told me. And Im just saying thats stupid because me and my friend just wasted money on the 360 now he has to wait to get another one.
But I do have to say Im impressed with microsofts new warranty on the slim versions, if like breaks you get a new one, not a refurbished one.
